Transplanting

Seeds may be germinated in the Micro 20 and transplanted to the Mini 4 when the plant is approximately 2" high. The same applies to the Maxi 1. The advantages of this system are that you will use less space during the germination stage and there is also less mass to heat.

When transplanting to the garden, water the block and set into a hole just a little larger than the block itself. Press soil around the block from both sides. If the ground is moist, watering should not be required. Otherwise water as necessary. No hardening off is needed either because the root ball always remains intact.
